Now to get cooking!
Here is a selection of sites that offer simple recipes with easy to source ingredients.
Some things to consider when you choose your recipes:
Always use Australian based recipes or online resources because:
If a recipe suggests that it will take a certain amount of time to prepare and cook, expect that it will take you almost double that time to prepare in your own kitchen and with your limited cooking experience.
Keep your ideas simple
This is not MasterChef or My Kitchen Rules!
Pick recipes that are affordable
Some of the best food is made from cheap, seasonal and simple ingredients
Use Local and Sustainable Ingredients
If you are not sure if they are sustainable, get in the habit of doing further research to find out where they come from and how they are grown or produced - research what they are and where they come from - knowledge is power!

Some things to consider when you choose your recipes:
Always use Australian based recipes or online resources because:
- they often use ingredients that are locally available
- they take into account the Australian seasons and availability of seasonal produce (remember, using produce that is in season is often better quality, cheaper to buy, more nutritious and healthier for you and the environment)
- Australian recipes use metric measurements and a language and expressions that we are more familiar with - this will help you make your creations more successful!
