Here are links to general biography and encyclopedic works online. Usually you can either search your specific personality in a search box or window - or browse alphabetically.
Biography.com. Type your personality's name into the search window.
The Catholic Encyclopedia. Search alphabetically for your subject. Any people closely associated with the Catholic Church will appear in this encyclopedia.
Distinguished women of the past and present. Search by Name. Entries will include links to websites and books with information
The Medievalisits. Search the name of your personality for articles. The search window is in the top LH side of the page.
Medieval Biographies. (History Link 101). Scroll down to find a link to your personality. Arranged alphabetically.

Using Wikipedia
Wikipedia is a good place to start to learn about your personality. This online encyclopedia can give you basic information and set you on a path to find more scholarly resources. It should not be your sole source for information - think of it more as a jumping off point if you know very little about the personality you are researching and writing about.
1. Search your personality using the wikipedia search window.
2. Locate the article(s).
3. Use the quick facts on the side to assist you with an overview / read the article for an understanding of your subject. Use any links through the article to expand your knowledge
4. Scroll down to the bibliography / external links sections (at the bottom of the page)
5. Use any relevant external links to assist your understanding of your personality and to verify any wikipedia information you wish to use.

For a deeper dive into your chosen personality and to answer the more detailed requirements for your feature article engage in an ADVANCED SEARCH. (Google)
Combine search terms to refine your results:
eg. (name of personality) + (name of work eg a painting, a building, a book, a theory) + the element you require eg 'influences', 'significance' 'context' etc
